Meet ‘Jaws’, The 7-Metre Long Great White Shark That’s Terrifying SA

Sharks are pretty cool and definitely shouldn’t be culled in any way, shape or form. Agreed? Yep, sweet. But fuck me dead if I’d go anywhere near a beach where this gnarly beast was hangin’.
Facebook group Shark Alerts South Australia posted this image yesterday, of a shark spotted off only 100 metres an SA coast near Marino Rocks. A bunch of fisherman spotted it, and then images were taken from the Westpac Chopper.

This just sent in of the massive 7m White spotted off Marino Rocks this afternoon from the Westpac Heli.

“It’s the biggest Iv ever seen as a crew member in the Westpac chopper, we put it down as 7m the photo really doesn’t do…

A member of the Westpac crew said that it was “the biggest [they’d] ever seen as a crew member in the Westpac chopper“, and that the crew had “put it down as 7m the photo really doesn’t do it justice.”
But, some idiots people are still getting pretty pissy about the photo, saying that the crew were obviously exaggerating when they said how long it was. But most opined something similar to this: “Even if they are exaggerating, that’s still really really bloody big and I think I’ll stay out of the ocean forever thanks”
Which is fair; it’s not exactly farfetched for a shark to be that size, is it?
Anyway, this is yet another reminder of the goddamn ridiculous country we have chosen to live in. We choose to live here. A country that is filled with animals almost exclusively designed to hurt us. Well done, us.
