Matthew Newton has been arrested in the United States and charged with battery and resisting arrest again. This is the second time in as many weeks that the Australian actor has landed in trouble with Miami police, a beat that, according to some fictional tv shows, is notoriously incompetent. Luckily, the latest Newton infraction was captured in some grim CCTV footage.
According to The Australia the incident involved a confrontation with a Miami hotel worker over trouble he had experienced with a telephone call, throwing papers off the front desk and punching a member of staff.
Let us hope sense prevails and Newton is placed under treatment or arrest to prevent further harm to himself and others.
