Mark Salling, ‘Glee’ Star Charged Over Child Pornography, Dies Aged 35

Mark Salling, the former Glee actor who last year plead guilty to possession of child pornography, has died. He was 35.

The Hollywood Reporter states the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office was unable to confirm details of Salling’s death as his next of kin are yet to be identified.

Citing law enforcement sources, TMZ reports his death appeared to be a suicide.

As an actor, Salling was best known for portraying Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman on Ryan Murphy’s massively successful musical drama-comedy.

In 2015, he was arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography.

Last October, he reached a plea deal with prosecutors, in which he admitted to possessing over 50,000 images of young children.

He was awaiting sentencing in March, where he was expected to face four to seven years in prison.

Salling would have had to register as a sex offender, and would have been barred from speaking to anyone under the age of 18 without the presence of a parent or legal guardian.
