Mark Hamill Posts Heartbreaking Goodbye To His “Space Twin” Carrie Fisher

Our hearts broke this morning when we learned the news that beloved actor Carrie Fisher had passed away
The veteran actor had suffered a severe heart attack on a plane to Los Angeles earlier in the week, but it had been confirmed by her family that she was stable – so the news of her heartbreaking passing came as a shock to us all.
Her ‘Star Wars‘ co-star Mark Hamill, who played her twin brother Luke Skywalker, was lost for words when the news broke this morning:

Hamill has now expanded on his earlier tweet, writing a longer Facebook post expressing his grief over the loss of his “space twin“:
“Carrie was one-of-a-kind who belonged to us all- whether she liked it or not.

She was OUR Princess, damn it, & the actress who played her blurred into one gorgeous, fiercely independent & ferociously funny, take-charge woman who took our collective breath away.”
The iconic Jedi frequently called Fisher his ‘space twin‘ or said that the pair were ‘space siblings’
Get ready to cry, if you aren’t already – Hamill posted this image only two months ago, with the caption:
“Sending smoochies to my #SuperCoolSpaceTwin Carrie Fisher for no specific reason in particular. #YouMakeMeFeelSoYoung”

We’re sobbing. Actually, literally, violently sobbing.
Rest in peace, Carrie. We love you.
