Marina Abramovic Is Doing A Free Public Lecture In Australia Soon

Marina Abramovic is known for infamous performance art pieces such as Rhythm 0, and The Artist is Present. Her unique social analysis through art has been critically acclaimed over her 40 year career. 
Now, the legendary performance artist is coming to Australia to do a short residency, called Marina Abramovic: In Residence.
The project will span 12 days, and be held at Pier 2/3 in Sydney. It features talks, panels, screenings, as well as the free keynote lecture. 
According to the Kaldor Public Art Projects site, the project will be an innovative new experience, and Abramovic and her team ‘will be onsite at Pier 2/3 for 12 days, to lead you through a series of transformative experiences that will shift your focus, challenge your perceptions and change the way you look at art.’
The free keynote lecture by Marina Abramovic is on June 30th, at the Roslyn Packer Theatre in Walsh Bay at 8pm. Seats are limited so if you want to see the infamous artist live, make sure you book. Tickets are available from June 9th.
