Mariah Says ‘V. Regular Person’ James Packer Was A Mega Fan Before They Met

Mariah Carey did a massive interview with Complex Mag, and HOOOOOOO BOY – it is an absolute doozy.
The lengthy interview covers a shitload of stuff, but one of the most interesting bits was Mariah ‘spilling the deets’ on her relationship with her fiancé, Aussie casino fella and business mogul James Packer
Mariah seems incredibly happy with her ‘private businessman’ partner, and they’re currently making wedding plans as we speak. This will be her third wedding, but the superstar doesn’t seem fazed:
“This’ll be marriage number three. My bishop said to me, ‘I don’t want you to go Elizabeth Taylor on me!’ I said, ‘I’m not’—and then I said ‘Bye.’”
Mariah says that her boyf was actually an enormous fan before they met. He apparently loves her music and has ‘Mariah playlists’ that he listens to when he’s travelling. But she reckons that him being a superfan didn’t scare her off:
“Actually, if he didn’t like my music, then how would I be able to handle him being around when all I’m doing is creating? It’s cool.”
She says they have to deal with the fact that they’re both crazy busy, so they have to negotiate heavily on time spent together:
“I don’t expect him to be at every little thing that I do, and vice versa. He’s got a lot of stuff on his plate and so do I. There’s a mutual understanding.”
Plus, she tells us that she wasn’t even looking for love after her divorce from Nick Cannon. Her friend, Brett Ratner introduced her to “regular, normal person” James Packer
Ooooooold multiple giant casinos Packer. Completely normal, standard Aussie bloke that just owns a bit of land and some buildings. Ol’ regular joe, multi-millionaire mogul Packer
But, we suppose he does look pretty commonplace next to the iconic diva. Take this incredible piece of video footage as proof:
