Boxer Manny Pacquiao is standing by his grooooosss homophobic comments earlier this week, saying that God is on his side.
A few days ago, he sparked a global backlash by talking about homosexuality to a Filipino TV station, which resulted in Nike dropping him as an ambassador:
“It’s common sense. Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female. If men mate with men and women mate with women, they are worse than animals.”
But despite apologising the day after his awful commentary, the world champ smiled and backed his comments in an interview to reporters in his hometown of General Santos today:
“What I am saying is right. I mean I am just stating the truth, what the Bible says.”
