Raise your hands if you’ve been personally victimised by 2020. Everyone? That’s what I suspected.
If there’s ever been a reason to blow off some steam, it’s now. As we creep towards some semblance of normalcy, it’s natural to be stoked about the possibility of knocking back a few bevs at your favourite bar.
So, in honour of this, Bacardi has been in cahoots with a bunch of iconic bars around Australia to remind you all of what life can be like (again).
This go around, the Manly Wharf Bar has been gracious enough to provide the services of their staple DJ, James Jensen, to sort out the perfect playlist that’ll have your blood pressure at the max (in a healthy way) before you head out to soak up the Manly sun.
With every good playlist, though, you need an even better cocktail accompaniment. This is why we’ve reached out to the good team at Manly Wharf Bar to get the recipe for one of their signature cocktails, the Ginger Snap.

As you can see in the visual tutorial (or ‘video’ to you plebs) above, it’s a piece of apple pie to create. All ya need is the following:
- 30ml x Bacardi Spiced
- 15ml x Canton Ginger Liqueur
- 15ml x Spiced Ginger Syrup
- 4 x Pineapple pieces
- 4 x Lime pieces
- Mint
- Ice (optional) (but crucial) (so not optional)
Fetch yourself a Collins glass or whatever you have lying around, muddle the lime, pineapple and syrup, chuck in the rest of the ingredients and give a good ol’ swirl. Finish it up with a bunch of mint after lightly smacking it between your palms to bring out that sweet, minty flavour.

There are simply no skips to be seen so you’re just gonna have to hunker down for the full two-ish hours. Sorry if this messes up your plans but perhaps it’s your fault for not being more organised? I’m not playing the blame game, I’m just blaming you specifically.
