A woman has reportedly died by suicide after jumping off the Centrepoint Tower in Sydney this afternoon.
The woman had been on the ‘Skywalk Experience’, a tour that takes visitors around the outside of the tower, when witnesses said she removed her harness and jumped.
At around 2:45PM, police confirmed the woman’s death on the corner of Castlereagh and Market Street.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
At 3:42PM, the tower otherwise known as Sydney Tower Eye, announced they had temporarily closed their observation deck and restaurant until further notice.
Following an incident, the attraction has been closed until further notice.

Before confirmation, nearby pedestrians turned to Twitter to note the heavy police presence surrounding the building, including a helicopter. Pitt Street had also been closed off to the public following the incident.
The police are on the Westfield rooftop (bottom of the start of the tower). The police chopper alerted us, and we can see from our office. Can only see police though, nothing to explain what’s occurred.
