Dogs are a man’s best friend, we all know that. Personally, I love dogs, can’t get enough of them. I like to see photos of them, look at memes about them, spot them in the street, pet their heads, and pick them up in my arms lovingly.
So when I heard that a man named Aaron Franks posted to Facebook that he had spent two years building an elaborate home for his dogs, I was expecting to feel warm and fuzzy.
And I did, until the pictures revealed that Aaron’s dogs have been built a palace, and that their house is nicer than my own personal house. I am a human woman, and his dogs hang out every day in a palatial mansion that I would consider living in the lap of luxury. I love dogs, but I am jealous of these dogs. I mean just look at this.
In his post, Aaron explained that the dogs are a huge part of their family, and that is why he built them a ‘dog house’ that has three levels, with three entrances. It is equipped with running water, working electricity, a in-ground pool, security cameras, an indoor staircase, and even a pirate ship wheel for some reason. Dogs don’t have hands. If someone built this in the inner west of Sydney, I would not be able to afford it.
This is just rubbing our noses in it.
Okay fine it is a beautiful effort from a man who truly loves his dogs. But look at this adorable pup, sprawled out in comfort. You aren’t better than me just because you have a nicer house than me, dog.
