An American tourist has been taken into police custody in Thailand after stripping naked and chucking lumps of his own shit around the place at Phuket International Airport.
His excuse? He overdosed on Viagra.
Onlookers say 27-year-old Steve Cho was nude, incoherent, and evidently pretty invested in throwing his own turds at innocent bystanders when the incident occurred on Thursday. He was eventually restrained by no less than six security guards and airport staff, and then promptly arrested.
Witness Wannee Ming told local media:
This was the scariest and most disgusting thing I ever saw at an airport. I stayed away from the man in case he attacked anybody.
The airport staff tried to make him calm down. They were talking to him but he ignored them. It was very bad. The airport did a good job to control him.
A nude man babbling and screaming in an airport while flinging shit and (probably) sporting an angry boner is probably the definition of “scary and disgusting” so I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there, Wannee.
Cho apparently told the local cops that he had no recollection of going off his rocker in the airport, and confessed that he may have overindulged in the “sex drugs“.
The airport released a statement addressing the incident, saying:
The officers brought him to the walkway on the north side of the terminal to avoid other passengers and managed to calm him down at the Tourist Centre on the first floor.
When he regained his composure he admitted that he took too many Viagra pills and lost consciousness.
He accepted responsibility to reimburse for any damages that he cause. His trip to Incheon was cancelled and he was brought to Saku Police Station for further investigation.
He’s also undergone medical and psychiatric checks, and will hopefully think twice before chucking down a mouthful of dick-pills before getting on a long-haul flight. Something we could all bear in mind, really.
