A wild new report by The Courier Mail is claiming that Married At First Sight 2021 contestant Chris Jenson was arrested on drug charges prior to his appearance on this year’s season of the dating show.

The Courier Mail reports that the reality star is facing one count of trafficking dangerous drugs – serious organised crime and was due to appear before Brisbane Supreme Court on Wednesday, but the matter has been adjourned until April 23 (which is convenient for him, considering they’re filming the MAFS reunion this week).

The publication added that Chris Jensen had reportedly been granted Supreme Court Bail, hence why he was able to star in the show.

Queensland Courts and the Department of Justice and Attorney-General confirmed the charges to Daily Mail Australia.

Apparently he was arrested alongside three co-accused, who are all facing similar charges.

A Brisbane Magistrates Court spokesman told The Courier Mail that Chris Jensen last appeared in court on October 30, 2020, after being granted magistrates bail in 2018.

During his last court appearance, his bail was extended, and the case was adjourned to July 23.

Meanwhile Chris Jenson also faces single charges of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in commission of a crime, possessing used utensils or pipes and two counts of possessing property suspected of being proceeds of an offence under the Drugs Misuse Act.

Chris Jensen came late to the MAFS party this year, entering as an intruder, paired with bride Jaimie Gardner.

Despite not being able to form a connection with his MAFS missus, Chris Jensen quickly became a fan favourite.

On Monday night’s episode, he sent fans wild with the following passionate statement:

“I came in here to give my heart and to put everything in and I did,” he said after deciding to quit the experiment.

“I hope that I will actually find the one that I’m supposed to be with and they just want to be with me, too.”

He later took to Instagram to discuss his time on the show, writing that he has “so much to offer and so much love to give the woman that chooses me.”

“My #MAFS journey ends… I know my worth and the quality of man I am. I won’t settle for anything less.”

Neither Chris Jensen or MAFS have addressed the charges.
