Look at this cute pooch! Isn’t he adorable? Don’t you want to snuggle him real bad? Look at his lovely eyes and his wet nose and adorable pupper paws. Nawwwwww.
This 16-month-old black Labrador‘s name is URL (pronounced ‘Earl’), and he works for the po-po in Utah, who have recently announced that pornography is ‘a public health crisis’.
*gigantic eyeroll*
But anyway, what URL can do is pretty goddamn amazing. His super-sensitive nose has been trained to sniff out chemical compounds which are found in thumb drives, phones, SIM cards and hard drives.
The cute K-9 was actually trained by Bear, who was the dog that found the thumb-drive containing child pornography belonging to former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle.
So not only can he find hard-drives of child porn and so on, but he could also foil terrorist plots, prison contraband, or financial crimes. Smart poochie.
But, he’s in Utah and will therefore be carrying out the bidding of Senator Todd Weiler, an anti-porn crusader who wants internet providers to block all X-rated sites in the state. Which is pretty sad, because people should be able to look at regular consensual porn, y’know?
The magical powers of a pupper should be used only for good; never for evil. Dogs are too pure.
