London’s Hugely Popular Camden Markets Hit By Massive Multi-Storey Blaze

A building at London’s hugely popular Camden Markets is alight, and some 70 firefighters are currently trying to bring the blaze under control.

Three storeys of the structure and its roof are engulfed in flames, and footage posted to social media shows the ferocity of the fire.

It appears the blaze started above a burger restaurant in the markets.

In a statement, Metropolitan Police said they were alerted to the fire shortly after midnight, and that firefighters were already at the scene when they arrived.

It’s not immediately clear if anyone has been caught up in the fire, and police say they’re awaiting an update on any possible injuries.

The Camden Market has long been a tourist hotspot, with over a thousand stalls selling clothing, jewelry, art, food, and bric-a-brac.
