London Woman Dies After Being Struck By Four Hit-And-Run Drivers In A Row

A U.K. woman has died after being run over and then hit by four vehicles in south London, and not one of the drivers stopped.

Metropolitan police were called to the scene in Tulse Hill early Monday morning. The woman, whom police believe was aged in her late 20s or early 30s, was treated at the scene, but was sadly pronounced dead half an hour later.

She has yet to be formally identified, with enquiries to trace the next of kin ongoing.

Police have established that she was hit by a heavy goods vehicle as she crossed the road at a pedestrian crossing. They believe she was subsequently struck by a second lorry and two cars; not one of the drivers stopped.

They’re appealing for witnesses to come forward, but holy shit. Humanity freaking sucks.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision and the moments afterwards to contact us,” said Acting Detective Sergeant Alastair Middleton. “I would also urge the drivers of all four vehicles to come forward and speak with my team.”

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
