Locals Legends Rescue Puppers Stranded For Hours In VIC Floodwaters

Australia, amid some plainly shithouse circumstances, something good just happened.

Two doggos trapped on top of a car in Victorian floodwaters have finally been rescued by some top-notch humans, and for this, we can be truly thankful.

Footage taken after the SES team rescued the car’s driver in Springfield, north of Melbourne, showed the dogs in pretty dire circumstances:

Locals reportedly worked in concert with SES rescuers to get ’em the hell off that 4WD and back on dry land. Good job, all.

Elsewhere, Coleraine wasn’t spared from the torrents, either. Residents were evacuated last night before flood waters ran down the streets.

Broader regional Victoria has also been hit by some seriously heavy rains over the past 24 hours, and residents of Casterton have been warned to take note of the Glenelg River – which is predicted to rise up to six metres by tonight.

The Bureau Of Meteorology also issued a flood watch for the North Eastern region of the state earlier this morning. Stay safe, all – and give your pets a cuddle, too.
