Lily Allen Accuses James Corden Of Cracking On To Her During TV Interview

Lily Allen has taken to Twitter to recall an incident in which James Corden hit on her during an appearance on a TV chat show, suggesting that she felt uncomfortable, and saying flirted back as she feared she would cop criticism if she failed to do so.

The claims came out earlier today, as Allen spoke of another incident with Piers Morgan, in which she posted photos of the two of them together with a vomit emoji, implying that he’d put his hand on her thigh and kissed her neck against her will.

When a follower suggested that she had invited Piers Morgan’s advance as she had also seemed “horny for James Corden”, during their interview, she shot back:

“No, I wasn’t horny for James [either], he came on to me in front of a studio audience, if I’d have shut him down, I would have been labeled cold or up myself or snobbish.”

The interview in question took place in 2008, when Lily Allen was hosting her own BBC talk show and James Corden was promoting Gavin & Stacey.

You can watch the full interview here, but the relevant section starts around five minutes in, when a flirty Corden gets up close to Allen on the couch and compliments her dress and shoes.

Later, he tells the flustered host “I don’t think you know how pretty you are,” to which she replies “just fuck me”, before turning to the audience and saying “that’s how you get into a girl’s pants.”

A Twitter follower accused Allen of blowing “innocent banter” out of proportion after she went on Corden’s show to promote herself. “It was my show,” she shot back.

James Corden has yet to respond.
