Michelle Rodriguez, who starred aside Liam Neeson and Viola Davis in last year’s Widows, has defended the former against claims that he’s a racist, after he admitted in an interview earlier this week that he considered murdering a random black person. The proof: he tongue-kissed Davis.

Speaking to The Independent, Neeson said that after a person close to him was raped by a black man he would go “up and down areas with a cosh” in the hopes that “some ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him”.
His comments led to widespread public condemnation – because that kind of reaction is both insane and racist – with Neeson appearing on Good Morning America to defend himself against the charges, saying it “was nearly 40 years ago“.
He’s since cancelled a slot on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, as well as the premiere of his upcoming flick, Cold Pursuit.
Rodriguez told Vanity Fair at the amfAR Gala New York on Wednesday that the accusation that Neeson is racist is “fuckin’ bullshit“.
Liam Neeson is not a racist. Dude, have you watched Widows? His tongue was so far down Viola Davis’s throat. You can’t call him a racist ever. Racists don’t make out with the race that they hate, especially in the way he does with his tongue – so deep down her throat. I don’t care how good of an actor you are. It’s all bullshit. Ignore it. He’s not a racist. He’s a loving man. It’s all lies.
