Nude selfie overlord Kim Kardashian has found an unlikely champion in Lena Dunham, who has mad respect for the zero fucks she gives when it comes to owning her sexuality.
The topic of Mrs Ye came up at the recent Power Women Breakfast, where the Girls creator was asked to chat about her role as an activist for women’s empowerment, and she straight-up said she’s “all about it”.
“I love the Kardashians – I love to look at them,” she said. “I’m all about it. Every version of being female and feeling powerful is fucking great with me… I don’t have a problem with it.”
She also weighed in on people rushing to judge Kim – and fellow nude selfier Emily Ratajkowski – and, in particular, women judging other women.
“I think that’s a big part of the problem with the feminist dialogue on the internet right now is like, why are we screaming at each other?” said Dunham. “I don’t think there are important conversations to be had about, like whether Kim Kardashian’s nude selfie is like negatively affecting me or my child.
“I have no interest in, like, getting on a soapbox and making decisions about what should make other women feel beautiful or feel healthy or feel strong.”
