Lead & We Will Follow You To This Droolworthy ‘Gilmore Girls’ Ice Cream

By now, you ‘Gilmore Girls‘ stans (uh huh, we see you) are gearing up for the drop of the Netflix 4-part special next week, yes?
What are you planning on snacking on? Apples? Theories abound. Pop-Tarts? Obvi. How’s about… Gilmore Girls‘ ice cream?
Uh huh, a Brooklyn-based ice creamery has literally created an actual flavour of ice cream based solely on the cult series.
It’s called ‘They Scoop Gilmores, Don’t They?‘, after the season three episode ‘They Shoot Gilmores, Don’t They?’ (which, FYI, is a play on the book/film, ‘They Shoot Horses, Don’t They‘). That’s the episode that includes Rory‘s (Alexis Bledel) breakup with Dean (Jared Padalecki).
Ample Hills Creamery actually had a competition to pick the flavour of the ‘Gilmore Girls’ ice cream, and say they had over 2,500 entries.
What actual flavour is it? It is coffee (duh) chocolate pudding ice cream (Emily Gilmore tried), snickerdoodles (a reference to Lorelai‘s, “Oy, with the poodles already” line) and pink Pop Tart sprinkles. How’s that for references?
LOOK AT IT:

Thank you to all those fans who participated in our #GilmoreGirlsIceCream contest! After combing through over 2,500 entries, we are thrilled to announce the winning flavor! They Scoop Gilmores, Don’t They? Coffee (of course) chocolate pudding ice cream (because Emily is trying after all) but oy, with the snickerdoodles already– topped with pink [Pop Tart] sprinkles. There were so many excellent options, puns and flavor combinations that we couldn’t choose just one. The winning flavor is an amalgamation of three amazing suggestions: @pauline__beal’s allusion to Emily’s attempt at chocolate pudding, @ryebecca’s ingenius “oy with the snickerdoodles already” and @jjjmmd’s name– a reference to a reference to a reference. This flavor will be available at all our NYC scoop shops beginning this week and is available for nationwide shipping now! You can order individual pints in a Choose Your Own Story 5-Pack or opt for a Gilmore Girls-themed 4-Pack: Where You Lead, I Will Marshmallow (name suggested by Rebecca Phillips). Copper boom!
