Bruce Paddock, estranged brother of Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock, has been arrested on suspicion of possessing 600 images depicting child pornography, and 19 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Paddock, 58, was detained in North Hollywood on Wednesday, in relation to the reported 2014 discovery of the images inside a building where he had previously been squatting.
Los Angeles Police Department says they had been unable to locate Paddock after his eviction from the premises, and only tracked him down after he spoke to the media in regards to his brother’s murder of 58 people.
Paddock has been detained at the LAPD’s Metropolitan Detention Center, with bail set at US $60,000.
After his brother perpetrated the deadliest mass shooting in American history, Paddock said he had no understanding of what drove the high-stakes gambler to open fire on a country music festival.
Bruce Paddock is not believed to be a related to the shooting.
