#LaceItUp To Help Raise Awareness For Youth Homelessness

Each night, over 47,000 Australians under the age of 25 go to sleep in the streets, without having the simple privilege of being able to take off their shoes. Youth Homelessness is a growing concern within this country, as more and more disadvantaged, disaffected, and distressed are displaced from conventional housing and forced to live life on the streets.

In the lead up to the annual calendar of awareness events, including the Winter Sleepout, Father Chris Reilly‘s charity organisation Youth Off The Streets is launching a new social initiative aimed at raising awareness, as well as much needed funds, to help provide support for those who have fallen through the cracks.
The #LaceItUp program is magnificently simple: Purchase a pair of snazzy blue shoelaces for only $5, swap them out for your own, and get your creative juices flowing to take a photo and share it across your social networks.
The more people share, the greater reach the campaign has. And, ultimately, the more money will be able to be raised for Youth Off The Streets, which has been in operation helping people for over 23 years.
