Kia Lettice, NSW Native And Rugby League Supporter, Has Died Aged 22

Kia Lettice, whose battle with cancer recently made national headlines, has died. She was 22.

Lettice’s mother Patricia made the announcement via Facebook, saying the Narrabri native died peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by loved ones at the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Broader Australia became aware of her her eight-month-long fight against metastatic gastric ovarian cancer after NRL Footy Show star Beau Ryan answered the urgent call to visit her bedside on Tuesday.
Jillaroo and sevens star Mahalia Murphy, who originally posted the call-out to Lettice’s hero Ryan, has issued a statement of her own.

She writes Lettice “touched a lot of people’s heart around the world and is now pain free and in better hands.”
