Kesha Has A Msg For Everyone Who’s Supported Her Battle With Dr Luke

WARNING: This post discusses sexual abuse and domestic violence.

If you’ve missed the story so far, Kesha last week lost a court bid to break her contract with producer Lukasz Gottwald, a.k.a. Dr Luke, the man she claims abused, drugged, and sexually assaulted her over a ten year period (he’s strenuously denied the allegations).

Her situation – and obvious devastation about the ruling – has attracted mass sympathy from a bunch of (mostly female) celebs, including Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Christina Ricci, Lorde, Iggy Azalea, Halsey and Lena Dunham, who unpacked her frustration over the lack of belief in Kesha’s claims in a blistering essay for Lenny.
Kesha has kept silent since a judge denied her preliminary injunction to terminate her contract with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records – a division of Sony – until just now, posting a ‘Gram thanking supporters for helping her through the protracted legal battle.
“I am beyond words in gratitude,” she said. “Thank you is not enough but it is all I have.”
She also mentioned a longer message is forthcoming on a different social media platform (her website?).

Under the terms of the contract, Kesha would be forced to release five more albums under Dr Luke’s label, working with him directly.

Fans continue using the #FreeKesha hashtag to stress their disgust at the judge’s ruling.
