50 Y.O. Sydney Woman Charged After Car Strikes Group Of Pedestrians

A Sydney woman is facing a series of charges after a car struck a group of pedestrians in the city’s north west last night, leaving a four-year-old girl critically injured.

A 55-year-0ld woman was also critically injured when the car hit the group of people on Hezlett Road in Kellyville at around 9pm.

The child suffered head and internal injuries, while the woman received internal and spinal injuries. Two other people were also taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The driver, aged 50, is facing a number of charges including three counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm. She was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and texting when the incident occurred.

Police are investigating.
