Just Quietly, Wyatt Roy’s Life After Politics Is Unexpected FOMO Material

When Wyatt Roy was bundled out of federal politics at the last election, you’d have been forgiven for assuming the former Liberal MP would go back to being just another ambitious mid-20s bloke.
Nope.

Instead, the man who once served as the Assistant Minister for Innovation decided to innovate his ‘retirement’, and he’s kept social media up-to-date on his many deeply bizarre adventures.

Now, we’ve hit a point where Roy’s life is actually… Well, judging by a series of photos he’s thrown on his accounts over the past day, his life is kind of rad. Like, skiing-out-of-a-helicopter-in-Pakistan rad:

Oh, he met the PM, too:

Incredibly interesting meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif ????

Presumably, Roy had visited the nation at the behest of Afiniti – the American tech firm which has tapped Roy to oversee its expansion down under. As if the whole spy-thriller vibe of those shots wasn’t enough, Afiniti is tied up in artificial intelligence. Wild.
As long as the fella stays out of Iraq and far, far away from any potential militias, we’ll continue to feel a weird, questionable jealousy for this fella’s unexpectedly intense life outside of politics.
