‘Jurassic World 2’ Has An Official Title & Is Teasing Maximum Goldblum

As a card-carrying ‘Jurassic World‘ apologist, the promise of not only a sequel, but one that’s reportedly dark as shit is enough to get the ole’ engine running.
The film, which is scheduled for release in exactly one year’s time, is by all accounts a much bleaker, grimmer take on the traditional dino-park yarns, with those attached to the production comparing it to ‘The Empire Strikes Back‘ and ‘The Wrath of Khan‘ in terms of where it sits in this new (probable) trilogy.
With 12 months to go until it hits screens, the film has officially unveiled its full title, along with a tagline that teases a little blast from the past.

There you have it. ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.’

The cracks in the logo and the ashen sparks and smoke hint that shit is about to get absolutely real on the ole’ Las Cinco Muertes.
And that tagline… “life finds a way.” If that isn’t a promise that the sequel is set to cop bulk Goldblum then I don’t know what is.
We know that Jeff Goldblum is reprising his iconic role of Dr. Ian Malcolm for the new flick; the first appearance of the rogue, rockstar mathematician since ‘The Lost World.’ But that tagline of Malcolm’s OG line hints that maybe, just maybe, his role in the film might be a lot bigger than anyone may think.
Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and B.D. Wong are all returning to the cast for round two, with newcomers James Cromwell, Toby Jones, and Justice Smith among the newcomers jumping on board.
The film is set for release on June 22, 2018.
And now for no discernible reason, this incredible Goldblum tweet:

Eggs.
