Jimmy Fallon And Jason Segel Hilariously Battled The Roots At Family Feud

One of the all-time great YouTube rabbit holes is “Dumb Game Show Answers.” If you haven’t fallen down that bad boy already, set yourself aside a couple of hours one lazy – potentially hungover – afternoon soon and get lost in all its majesty.
More often than not, you’ll find the better ones come from the American incarnation of Family Feud – partly because the questions on the show are specifically designed to trap people into giving hilariously stupid or rude answers, and partly because host Steve Harvey‘s reactions to them are gut-bustingly, hilariously on-point.
The show is an institution in US television, so it should come as no surprise that the pop culture sinkhole that is The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon managed to suck it into its ever-expanding web.
Steve Harvey himself made a guest appearance on the show to host a quick Tonight Show edition of Feud, with the “Fallon Family” – consisting of Jimmy Fallon, Jason Segel, and Tonight Show announcer Steve Higgins – against the “Roots Family” – featuring Questlove, James Poyser and Tariq Black ThoughtTrotter of the legendary Roots crew.
Real talk: This is easily one of the funniest segments The Tonight Show has produced in quite some time, which is saying something. Watching Steve Harvey try and wrestle control of the segment from a hyper-active Jimmy Fallon who bounces around stage like a 5 year old dizzy on lemonade is a thing of beauty.

Harvey’s comic timing on that “Wrap it up” line? Awesome. Awesome to the max. Screw The Tonight Show, just make every episode this from now on.
