Beloved actress Jessica Walter, best known for her role in Arrested Development, has tragically died at age 80.

Walter passed away in her sleep in New York City on Wednesday after a lengthy six-decade-long career in the industry.

She was most well-known for her iconic role as Lucille Bluth in the hit series Arrested Development, in which she starred in all five seasons. Honestly, the woman was a gift to us all.

The sad news was confirmed by her daughter Brooke Bowman in a statement overnight: “It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica.

“A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on-screen and off.

“While her legacy will live on through her body of work, she will also be remembered by many for her wit, class and overall joie de vivre.”

The comedic icon is responsible for some of the greatest lines in television history, and will undoubtedly keep us laughing for decades to come. I mean, it’s one banana Michael, what could it cost? Ten dollars? ICONIC.

Following her tragic passing, fans and colleagues took to Twitter to express their grief and remember the incredible actress.

We never deserved her, but god, we will miss her.

To celebrate the woman who gave us so many laughs, everyone must by a $10 banana and go see a Star War today. I’m sorry, I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them.

Rest In Peace Jessica Walter.
