Perennial GIF factory Jennifer Lawrence has once again stepped in to preach realistic attitudes towards body image, after being asked (in her new hair !!!) her advice for young girls who are criticised over their bodies, or judged by their appearance. “Screw those people”, Jennifer Lawrence began, as a holy aura of intensified luminescence descended upon her, confirming that she is, in fact, the greatest human in Hollywood, and she should, in fact, be my best friend.
“You look like you look, and be comfortable. What are you going to do — be hungry every single day to make other people happy? That’s just dumb,” Lawrence said, which is a powerful idea both because of its admirable attitude towards body image, and also because of the veritably excruciating pain that comes with being hungry for fries on the red carpet.
In a certain respect, it’s frustrating that Jennifer Lawrence continually has to address what should be a relatively simple concept, but has naturally been thwarted by unrealistic perceptions of beauty.
