A ‘Tiger King’ Star Claims That A New Episode Is Coming Next Week And We Have Questions

Tiger King, Jeff Lowe

If you’ve already binged all of Tiger King and are looking for more, then you may just be in luck, with star Jeff Lowe claiming that there’s a new episode headed to Netflix.

Justin Turner of the LA Dodgers recently received a Cameo video from Jeff Lowe. In it, the zookeeper thanked him for being a loyal fan, then dropped a bombshell, saying:

“Netflix is adding one more episode. It will be on next week. They’re filming here tomorrow.”

Turner posted the video to Twitter, and you can see it for yourself below:

Since its release on March 20, Tiger King has become a true phenomenon, and Netflix would be wise to capitalise on it, but they have so far not made any comment or statement on a new episode.

This leaves us with a lot of questions. If there is a new episode – and we say ‘if’ because this is obviously very far from confirmed – what would it even look like?

Give the current lockdown conditions, it seems unlikely that anyone would be shooting anything on location right now, despite what Jeff Lowe said about “filming here tomorrow.”

Will it be one of those ‘lost footage’ episodes like Bravo used to tack on to the end of Real Housewives seasons? Will they be filming more interviews with the key cast members?

A group Zoom chat would be hilarious, although it’s highly doubtful that Carole Baskin would agree to that, given that she has been pretty scathing about the show.

Netflix recently interviewed Joe Exotic in prison, posting some of the footage to social media yesterday, so this, coupled with his current bid to clear his name, could be the basis of something interesting.

We’ll just have to wait and see until there’s an official announcement.
