Warning, guys: Jacqui Lambie has cooked it. She’s gone Lambie. She’s peaked.
She’s called for Australia’s Grand Mufti to wear a police monitoring bracelet.
Yep, Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie as called for Grand Mufti Ibrahim Abu Mohammed to wear a police monitoring bracelet, for reasons of ~ national security ~.
See the thing is – Dr Mohammed pissed off a bunch a number of Federal Ministers the other day – including Lambie, Scott Morrison, Peter Dutton, etc – when he gave his “deepest condolences” to Paris but also spoke about “causative factors“, like Islamophobia and racism, that needed to be addressed.
And Lambie, amid calling for greater security screening for the 12,000 Syrian refugees set to arrive in Australia, made the helpful suggestion that perhaps the Grand Mufti should go under police surveillance.
“No one’s talked putting security, electronic bracelets on them, nobody’s gone that far, I think it’s about time we put our foot down here.
“(The Grand Mufti) is not helping the situation.
“Maybe the first person that should have an electronic device put on them is the bloody Grand Mufti.
“We’ll be able to monitor what is going on and where they’re going.”
For the record, Australia’s Imams Council have further clarified that Dr Mohammed did *not* mean to justify the attacks in any way.

Brendan O’Conner told the
ABC that Lambie’s statements weren’t “particularly helpful”, which is possibly the nicest thing anyone’s ever said about Jacqui Lambie.
BTW – she held a poll on her Facebook page about whether or not we should still take the Syrian refugees, and keep up the good work, guys, you’re doing a bang-up job:
