ISIS Video Shows Execution of British Aid Worker Alan Henning

Overnight, a video emerged that is purported to show the execution of British Aid Worker Alan Henning by ISIS militants.

The Sydney Morning Herald report that the video, discovered online, opens with footage of the British parliament’s recent vote to authorise air strikes against ISIS targets in Iraq.
The video then cuts to Henning, who is kneeling against a desert backdrop in an orange, prison-style uniform. “Because of our parliament’s decision to attack the Islamic state, I, as a member of the British public, will now pay the price for that decision,” Henning says.

A masked man, standing over Henning while wielding a knife, then addresses British Prime Minister David Cameron, saying that Henning’s blood is on the British parliament’s hands before cutting the hostage’s throat.

After this, the video cuts to footage of Peter Kassig, a 24-year-old former U.S. soldier and aid worker who recently went missing in Syria. The same masked man then addresses U.S. president Barack Obama, although the video ends with Kassig unharmed.
David Cameron swiftly condemned the video via Twitter:
There are now grave fears for Kassig’s life, as previous victims have been shown in similar videos before their own executions.
