Instagram party bro and powerfully repellent person Dan Bilzerian is back in the news, this time not for pushing a porn star off a roof or attempting to run for president, but for trying to get a cop to give him a gun during the Las Vegas shooting.
Yeah, that’s right: Bilzerian, whose claim to fame is being a pretty good poker player who hangs out with a lot of models, begged a cop to give him his weapon as shooter Stephen Paddock rained down gunfire from the 32nd storey of the Mandelay Bay hotel.
How do we know this, you may be asking? Because there’s footage of it, that’s how.

The footage was uploaded after other video showed Bilzerian appearing to flee the scene, saying horrible callous things like “I just saw a girl get shot in the face right next to me“. This prompted a number of his Instagram followers to call him a coward.
In this vid, Bilzerian asks a cop – a cop – to give him his gun, even showing him his gun license. The cop, completely understandably, literally says, “No, get the fuck away from me right now“, “I don’t know who the fuck you are“, and “You should know better than that“.
Officer, I think I speak for all of us when I say: you handled that in the best possible way.
Why the bloke thought that he – a man who calls himself the “king of Instagram” and whose #1 identifying feature is having the kind of beard that is definitely hiding a Butthead-style chin situation – was more qualified to operate a giant gun than an actual police officer, we may never know.
