Man Dies Following Brawl Outside House Party In Sydney’s South-West

House Party

A man has died and four others have been arrested following a house party that erupted into a brawl in the south-western suburbs of Sydney overnight.

NSW Police say that emergency services were called to a property in Chester Road, Ingleburn, at around 9.40pm, after reports of a brawl involving large crowds of people.

The brawl is believed to have begun at the house party before spilling into the street, and police say that more people arrived in vehicles as the situation intensified, some armed with baseball bats.

Per police reports, crowds began to disperse upon the arrival of officers.

The police media unit says that “a man was located with serious injuries who was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however was unable to be revived and died at the scene.”

Four men have been arrested and are being questioned by police at Campbelltown Police Station.

Police say that following the house party incident, they have established a crime scene at the address, and the surrounding area will remain closed as investigations continue.

Police reports indicate that “the operation involved officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command, with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad, the Dog Unit, Rescue Squad, Police Transport Command, and officers from other South-West Metropolitan Region Police Area Commands.”

The house party brawl was the second police incident in Ingleburn this week. A few days prior, officers were called to an apartment after reports of several stabbings, with two men injured and one very nearly losing a finger.

Paramedics treated both men at the scene, and both were transported to Liverpool Hospital under police guard, with their condition described as stable.
