Sydney’s About To Cop The Warmest November Week In Nearly 50 Years

Dontcha just fucken love climate change After Melbourne and Hobart sweltered through a brutally hot week, Sydney’s about to cop it too. Sydneysiders are about to enjoy the warmest November week since 1968, with temperatures pushing above 25 degrees every single day.

“The last time Sydney had seven consecutive days with maximum temperatures equal to, or above, 25 degrees in November was back in 1968, and it’s only happened twice in November in the last 118 years,” Weatherzone meteorologist Ben Domensino told Fairfax.

But it’s not as rough as it has been in Melbs, where they’ve suffered through consecutive days above 28 degrees. In bloody November! It’s not right, folks. It’s not right.

Why is it doing this, you might ask? Well, apparently it’s caused by a huge stagnant pool of warm air which is now carving a diabolical path up the eastern edge of the continent, leaving busted office air conditioners and sickies in its wake.

Look, ultimately 25 degree days aren’t the worst thing, even if they are a tad uncomfortable in the evenings when that humid air sticks around. But it does not bode well for summer. This summer’s gonna be a brutal. I can feel it in my bones.
