HONY To Hit The Road, Share Stories From Frontline Of Europe’s Refugee Crisis

Humans Of New York’s Brandon Stanton is fast becoming one of the world’s most influential online voices, imbued with the unique ability to shed light on everyday humanity and tragedies across the globe.

Case in point – raising millions for underprivileged students at a school in Brooklyn; attracting the candid attention of Ellen DeGeneres, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and in the last 12 months, shifting his focus from Manhattan to tours through Pakistan, Iraq, India, Jordan, Uganda and Mexico, among others.

With Europe’s refugee crisis reaching breaking point during the last few months, Stanton’s next project and tour was revealed on HONY overnight – a ten-day tour to share the stories of refugees fleeing their home countries and traveling Europe by foot, bus, train and boat.

Stanton says he’ll also document the frontline workers and authorities responsible for facilitating immigration, and who control the increasing flow of asylum seekers approaching nations like Austria and Germany – who temporarily opened their borders to refugees last month.

“Additionally, I’ll be spotlighting some of the people who are attempting to help facilitate their immigration and asylum. Together, these migrants are part of one of the largest population movements in modern history.
