Hectic Footage Showing Sydney Cops “Harassing” Homeless Man Goes Viral

More than 800,000 people have watched footage shot by Sydney woman Keteilia Harris on Thursday night, which appears to show two Sydney police officers harassing a homeless man.
In the accompanying Facebook post, Harris says that the homeless man had just collected his free dinner from a group of volunteers when the two cops approached him aggressively.
“Before this video the police officer punched him and asked him to move away 500 meters after calling him ‘a homeless piece of shit’ whilst the man was asking the police officer why he’s being sent away. He was in the middle of eating his provided dinner. This is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever witnessed first hand.”

In the short video, you can see a male police officer appear to shove the homeless guy against a construction fence. The cop can be heard threatening to give the bloke a ticket for “offensive language, offensive behaviour“:

“So here’s what’s going to happen — I have a ticket for offensive behaviour and I’ll give you one more chance to move and if not, if not, shut up, shut up for fuck’s sake.”

The incident comes just weeks after a Sydney club was raided by 15 police and a sniffer dog, with no arrests made but a lot of people aggressively searched and banned from the venue; and, of course, the ongoing war on fun being waged by the NSW government.

The video has been shared more than 10,000 times at the time of writing. The NSW Police have released the following statement on the incident:

“About 7.40pm yesterday, officers attached to the Police Transport Command spoke with a 57-year-old man who was allegedly abusing members of the public at Central Railway Station.

“The man was issued a move along direction. A short time later, police again had reason to speak with the man, who they will allege was behaving in an offensive manner.

“The man was escorted from the location and will be issued an infringement notice in relation to his behaviour. The incident will be reviewed.”
