Brian Hickerson, the boyfriend of actress Hayden Panettiere, was arrested on Thursday in the US, after an alleged incident of domestic violence at the couple’s home.
Police sources have confirmed that 30-year-old Hickerson was detained at a residence in Los Angeles in the early hours of the morning and booked on suspicion of domestic violence.
He was arrested at 2.25am and spent the remainder of the night behind bars, before posting $50,000 bond for his release on Thursday afternoon.
Sources close to the couple say that they were out drinking in Hollywood on Wednesday night, and then returned home, after which there was an altercation that turned physical.
Hayden Panettiere, the star of Nashville, started dating Hickerson in August of 2017, after the pair met through via mutual friends.
They commenced their relationship the same month that she split from her former partner, Wladimir Klitschko, after nine years together.
Panettiere and Klitschko have a four-year-old daughter named Kaya.
Representatives for the couple have offered no comment on the story.
