Harvey Weinstein’s Wife Georgina Chapman Reveals She’s Leaving Him, Pronto

Georgina Chapman, fashion designer, Marchesa co-founder, and wife of accused sexual harasser Harvey Weinstein, has announced that she is leaving him.

In a statement to People, Chapman said “my heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions,” referring to the sickening – and growing – number of entertainment industry figures who’ve alleged sexual misconduct at the hands of the Hollywood luminary.

As a result, Chapman says “I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”

Chapman, 41, married the producer in 2007. They have two children together, both under the age of ten.

The announcement comes days after a statement Weinstein made to the New York Post, claiming Chapman “stands 100 percent behind me,” and that she was helping him to become “a better human.”

In a statement made to Vogue at the time of their wedding, Weinstein said “unlike her husband, she’s really nice.”
