Get your teapot ready and turn on the kettle folks because today’s royal tea is rather juicy. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been demoted from their position on the official British Royal Family website. In fact, they’re now ranked lower than Prince Andrew. Now that’s what I call a tasty sip of Twinings’ English Breakfast tea.

According to Page Six, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were previously seated underneath Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. But, after a few weeks of the site being down for maintenance, fans noticed that their place on the list of members of the Royal Fam had changed.

Now, they’re listed below the Earl and Duchess of Wessex, Princess Anne, and Prince Andrew of viral messy BBC interview fame. As in, the man who was royally removed from Buckingham Palace. Ouch.

Their bios have been changed, too. Harry’s reads: “As announced in January, The Duke and Duchess have stepped back as senior members of The Royal Family. They are balancing their time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour their duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and their patronages.”

Meghan’s adds: “The Duchess will continue to support a number of charitable causes and organisations which reflect the issues with which she has long been associated including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare.”

According to royal expert Angela Levin, grandmummy dearest Queen Elizabeth II isn’t cutting Harry and Meghan off from the royal funds in fears that the decision may drastically affect her grandson’s mental health.

“My view is that Harry’s family in London are very worried about his mental health and think slamming the royal door in his face could have devastating consequences,” she wrote on Twitter.

On another note, Dear Queen Elizabeth II, I’ve had a really rough time this last year so can you hook a boy up? Thanks, luv.

Harry and Meghan left the Royal Family in July 2019. Earlier this year, the pair sat down with Oprah Winfrey and revealed a tonne of juicy (and shocking) information about their life in the public eye and allegations of racism amidst the British Royal Family. As such, today’s decision to demote them comes as no surprise.
