Literally putting her money is where her mouth is, absolute goddamn queen Halsey has donated $100k to reproductive health organisation Planned Parenthood following last weekend’s Womens March.
The news comes after Halsey, aka singer Ashley Frangipane, pledged to donate $1 per retweet of her explanation of the multiple social and personal reasons behind her decision to march on Saturday.
Unsurprisingly, it only took a goddamn day for the tweet to reach Halsey’s target.
In my last tweet I pledged to donate 1$ for every RT up to $100k to @PPact & you guys hit it! $100,000! Thank you for sharing and supporting

On top of Halsey has been outspoken about her first-hand experience with Planned Parenthood as a survivor of endometriosis, which, as a condition affecting women’s reproductive organs, has had a long and depressing history of stigma and misdiagnosis.
Luckily, in Halsey’s case it was caught by:
“…a clean, caring facility that treated me with compassion. Treated me like a warrior.”“A facility I turned to because I trusted it. A safe place.”
This makes for just one more reason why places like Planned Parenthood, which offers services ranging from abortions to STI testing to cancer screenings to hormone therapy for transgender people, are so important.
And, with President of The United States Donald Trump (urghh) already signing an executive order to defund International Planned Parenthood and any other foreign non-profit organisations that support or provide abortions, Halsey’s announcement couldn’t have come sooner.
Read her entire, original message below, and keep fighting gang.
