On November 16, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will be holding the Guide Dogs in the City event – hosted by Advance Pet, Pet Circle, and Guide Dogs – at Martin Place.

According to Guide Dogs Australia, it costs more than $50,000 to train a guide dog so the event is a chance for punters to donate to the organisation and learn all about how these little guys and gals empower people with impaired vision.

About five per cent of Guide Dog NSW/ACT’s funding comes from the government meaning the majority is from the generosity of the people so every cent counts.

The schedule – the very important schedule – details that there will be a Puppy Preschool at 12:00pm to 12:30pm and 1:10pm to 1:30pm for hoomans to watch the newest recruits learn how to be a good floofer.

From 12:40pm to 1:00pm and 1:40pm to 2:00pm, there will be a delightful Guide Dog Demonstration.

AND THEN at 2:00pm to 2:30pm, folks will really feel the love with the Pat a Puppy session. Pat, cuddle, kidnap, the choice is yours.

There’s also an opportunity to win one of three prizes at the event and a bunch of $20 Pet Circle vouchers.
