Authorities in Italy are making an investigation into possible “aggravated threats” after an effigy of 16-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg was found hanging from a bridge in Rome, according to a report from Agency France-Presse.

The effigy was wearing a yellow poncho and sported pigtails, bearing a sign with the words “Greta is your God” written on it in English.
In a tweet, Rome’s mayor Virginia Raggi posted a photo of the effigy and expressed her solidarity with Thunberg and her family, in addition to a commitment to continue fighting climate change.

According to Sky News, local media is attributing the effigy to local group Gli Svegli.
Thunberg, a teenager who doesn’t want life on the planet to be extinguished, has managed to make a bunch of people completely lose their minds, which has expressed itself in everything from sarcastic tweets from the President of the United States to death threats.
Almost makes you feel like a lazy piece of shit for not doing more.
