George Brandis Shits All Over His Own Party Unaware He’s 100% Mic’d Up

Oh, George Brandis. Dear, sweet, right-to-bigotry-defending George. Whatever are we going to do with you?
Brandis has been caught out calling his Queensland LNP colleagues “mediocre” and “not very good” during a recorded chat with Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger, during which he also voiced some extremely-valid concerns at the rise of One Nation:
“I’d say that the state opposition is very, very mediocre, and the state government is very very mediocre, but the thing that’s alarming everyone is, as you would expect, is the sudden spike in One Nation, which is now at about 16 per cent.”
While it’s no “Peter Dutton laughs at indigenous groups and rising sea levels,” Brandis’ comments comes at a particularly bad time for our beleaguered Attorney-General.
A recent Senate committee found our boy George misled Parliament in his dealings with former Soliciter-General Justin Gleeson, after which he was forced to back down from his controversial, instigating directive to force all ministers – including the Prime Minister – to obtain written approval before asking the S-G for legal advice.
And today’s comments will fan even more fights for Brandis, with one unnamed LNP minister responding with, “of course George has been such a shining example of good government…At least the LNP all turn up to vote when required and vote the right way.
Give the video a squiz below, and turn the “days our ministers have made hilariously embarrassing, seemingly private comments” counter back to 0.
