It’s no secret that Donald Trump‘s track-record when it comes to his treatment of, and attitude towards women isn’t exactly sparkling.
In fact the amount of dodgy, cringe-worthy or otherwise off-putting quotes Trump’s made on the subject of the opposite sex could probably fill a book of its own accord.
But because all of his direct political opponents thus far have failed abysmally in the it should not be this fucking hard task of not letting him with the Republican Presidential Nomination, it’s been left up to regular citizens to come up with ways of convincing people to not vote for him.
A group of badass women, fed up with Trump’s continued presence in this very important thing, have decided to put their money where their vaginas are, launching the frankly genius Vote Trump Get Dumped campaign in opposition.
The premise of the group? Stupidly simple.
“As long as Donald J. Trump is in the running, we commit to not dating or sleeping with any man who supports him.”
That’s it. That’s all it is. They’re encouraging women everywhere to go out of their to not have sex with, or date, any man who actively supports the Trump campaign.
The movement comes with a fancy website that encourages people to pick out some of Trump’s “looser” quotes about women – as well as some of the horrid shit spouted openly by his supporters – and share them on social media.
They’re also calling for women to change their profile pictures on Facebook/Twitter/etc to a photo of them with crossed fingers or legs, as well as attend Trump rallies in protest of his attitudes and (lack of) policies.
The Vote Trump Get Dumped website even opens its splash page with this absolute barnburner of a mission statement:
“Those Who Vote Trump Should Understand This: No Sex. No Dates. No Chance.
To cast a vote for Trump is to agree with his sexist, perverted, demeaning, backwards, offensive treatment of women.Learn what’s at stake.Join us by wielding your influence. Until Trump is defeated, we don’t date, sleep with, or canoodle with Trump supporters.
The Greeks did it. Women during the temperance movement did it. This is a tried and true method of getting men’s attention when they’re being dumb.“
By a long bloody stretch, this is the most effective anti-Trump campaign we’ve seen thus far. Hell. Fkn. Yes.
