Free The Children Post Footage Showing Conditions Of Squalor Inside Nauru

Activist Facebook page ‘Free The Children NAURU‘ have posted footage from inside Nauru, which show just some of the conditions inside the detention centre.

The beginning of the video shows text saying that while the government maintains that conditions are good and maltreatment is non-existent, this is not the case IRL:
“Government is still claiming that living conditions on Nauru are not as bad as being reported and that advocates are over-dramatising the situation.

To be fair to the government, we would like to show people some of the “better” ?? parts of the detention camp.

This is not sarcasm. These are some of the better features.”
The video then shows broken couches and chairs which are in ‘the lounge area’ of the children’s recreation tent, and some people being able to hang clothing with string and a cardboard box, neither of which are usually allowed by Nauru guards.
