Fourth Person Confirmed Dead Following Melbourne’s ‘Thunderstorm Asthma’

As the fallout from Monday night’s thunderstorm continues to unfurl, we can now confirm that a fourth Melbourne resident has died following the outbreak of “thunderstorm asthma.”
Father of two and bouncer Clarence Leo passed away early Tuesday morning, from what club manager Danny Saddoo said was an aggressive asthma attack:
“[Leo was] a really lovely, kind-hearted man…He was a very friendly guy, not your typical bouncer.”
The super-rare outbreak, as we covered earlier today, can be attributed to the storm changing the size of pollen particles that in turn trigger respiratory problems.
Leo has also been described by friends and co-workers as, “a gentle giant,” “good with everybody,” and having “a heart of gold.”
Leo follows Apollo Papadopoulos, Hope Carniveli, and Omar Moujalled as people to have died following the storms.
