Former ‘ACA’ Reporter Ben McCormack Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charges

Ex-A Current Affair reporter Ben McCormack has pleaded guilty to charges related to child pornography.

McCormack appeared in Downing Centre Local Court earlier this morning to enter the guilty plea on two counts of using a carriage service to transmit, publish, or promote child pornography.

McCormack was previously suspended from his duties at Channel Nine while the investigation and court proceedings took place, after both his home and the ACA offices were sensationally raided by police back in April.

The 43-year-old’s bail conditions were varied by the presiding judge, and McCormack will now reside at a new address while a pre-sentencing report is prepared.

The matter has been referred to the District Court, which hears more serious criminal cases and has the ability to hand out stiffer punishments.

The case is due back in court on October 6th.
