FKN FINALLY: You’ll Be Able To Bin The Default iPhone Apps On iOS 10

Looo, whether you’re iOS or Android, there’s one thing everyone agrees sucks about the iPhone: the ever-increasing number of default apps you never touch that you can’t delete and are forced to stuff in some folder on the last screen of the device.

Some real corkers in there. There’s Stocks, which is useless both for people who actually care about stock trading and those who don’t. There’s Tips, which seems to be targeted towards grandparents who think the iPhone is an inscrutable piece of alien technology. There’s Find My Friends, a tool none of your friends actually use, even if you did want to stalk them at all times.
They all hang there, on your homescreen, mocking you eternally.
Well, unmentioned in today’s keynote was a cool new feature of iOS 10: you’ll be able to delete ’em and redownload them from the App Store if you like.
Some of the apps it looks like you won’t be able to delete, like the Camera and Messages app. But you’ll be able to bin a lot of them.
No longer will you be beholden to the craven wishes of Apple. Delete the default apps. Delete all your apps. Look at your blank, useless phone and laugh. Laugh forever.
